Planner Navigator Search
-
Content design for Planner Navigator, a top-selling product that connects planners with vendors and vice-versa.
My role - Content design consultant
Scope - 2 months
Stakeholders - UX Design, Research, Product Management, Legal, Localization
I consulted for this product design team in addition to my usual embedded product design team. For this project, I was supporting 2-3 designers during 1-2 workshops a week.

Planner Navigator was an existing product that needed minor content design changes for items like card headers, link text, and search dropdown fillers.
-
My work on this project consisted of consulting with the team to provide content design support for minor design iterations.
Like all my work at Cvent, the content strategy here was based on existing content hierarchies and complex relationships between the different functionalities. I prioritized clarity (does the vendor know how to use the page?), specificity (can the vendor search for a specific planner by name?) and consistency (keeping first vs. second-person voice consistent across the pages).

This project was my first time consulting on another team in addition to my main work. It was critically important to timebox my work to working sessions with the stakeholders (product designers, product owners) and come up with solutions quickly, since schedules were difficult to align.
Keeping terminology consistent across the different pages (which were owned by different stakeholders) was another key challenge and lesson gained from this project.
